Lower Division Company

Where Dancers Begin To Shine

The Lower Division Company Program is designed for younger dancers (kindergarten-4th) who are ready to grow beyond recreational classes and begin their journey into performance-based training. With age-appropriate structure, supportive instruction, and a strong sense of teamwork, dancers develop foundational technique while gaining confidence both on and off the stage.

This division emphasizes growth, encouragement, and positive experiences, creating a strong foundation for future training.

Is Lower Division the Right Fit?

Lower Division is typically designed for dancers in kindergarten–4, though placement is based on readiness, not just age.

This division is ideal for dancers who:

  • Show enthusiasm for dance and learning

  • Are ready for more consistent training

  • Enjoy performing and working as part of a team

  • Are beginning to build focus, discipline, and confidence

No two dancers grow at the same pace. Our spring audition and placement process ensures each dancer is placed where they can feel supported, challenged, and successful.

Levels That Grow With Your Dancer

The Lower Division is made up of multiple team levels, allowing dancers to be placed where they can feel supported and successful while continuing to grow.

Multi-Genre Teams

Multi-genre teams train in a variety of styles, including ballet, jazz, hip hop, and additional genres as dancers advance. These teams are ideal for dancers who enjoy versatility and well-rounded training.

Training and commitment increase gradually across levels, helping dancers build skills and confidence over time.

Hip Hop Crews

Hip hop crews offer a focused track for dancers who are especially drawn to hip hop. Training includes hip hop, breakdancing, and rehearsals that prepare dancers for age-appropriate performances and competitions.

This option allows dancers to pursue performance opportunities while concentrating on the style they love most.

Performance Experiences

Performance is an exciting and meaningful part of the Lower Division experience. Opportunities are carefully selected to support confidence, teamwork, and a positive introduction to competitive dance.

Depending on team placement, dancers participate in:

  • 1–4 competitions or conventions per season

  • Studio and community performances

  • The annual All About Dance recital

Our goal is to help dancers enjoy performing while building resilience, stage presence, and pride in their progress.
