First Steps In Dance, Together

A gentle, joyful introduction to movement, music, and connection for children ages 0-3.

Early Steps helps families build trust, connection, and comfort in the studio while laying the foundation for a positive relationship with dance.

Early Steps is All About Dance’s parent-and-child program designed to nurture confidence, coordination, and a love of movement from the very beginning. Created for our youngest dancers (ages 0-3) and their caregivers, this program offers a welcoming, play-based environment where little ones can explore music and motion with you right by their side.

What Is Early Steps?

Early Steps is a developmentally appropriate introduction to dance that emphasizes exploration, creativity, and connection. Classes are designed for young children and a parent or guardian to participate together, creating a safe and supportive space for movement and discovery.

Using play-based activities, music, and simple movement patterns, dancers are encouraged to explore at their own pace while caregivers provide comfort, encouragement, and support.

Key Elements of Early Steps:

  • Parent or guardian participation

  • Play-based movement and music

  • A calm, welcoming studio environment
