Recreational Program Classes

AAD’s Recreational Program is designed for anyone who loves to dance age 18 months to 18 years. All dancers are welcome – with no audition required. This is an ideal program for dancers exploring any genre of dance without committing to a team-based program. Dancers may sign up for an entire session (fall or winter/spring) OR drop in any time throughout the year. All classes age 3 and up participate in our super-fun annual recital. The curriculum was designed by AAD owner, Jessica Goldman, and Recreational Director, Tori Smith, and has been recently re-imagined to focus on building up the whole child. In addition to developing body awareness, movement, musicality, rhythm and fundamental dance technique, each class is rooted in love, and intended to create a strong sense of identity and boost self-confidence. Even though the program is class (vs. team) based, each teacher cultivates a wonderful sense of community within each class. Meet us on the dance floor and join the FUN!

Audition-Based Programs

AAD Starlets

The Starlets program is designed for young dancers, ages 6-9, who want to take their dancing to the next level. The Starlet program is an audition-based program that focuses on developing the dancer’s ballet, jazz, and hip hop technique in an age-appropriate, confidence-building, and positive environment. We also offer additional optional classes in tap, modern, and acrobatics, plus a Performance Team for those dancers wanting to put in more time and dedication into their dancing. This program is divided into four teams that progress from beginner to advanced intermediate while having FUN every step of the way! If you have any questions about the program or would like more information, contact our program director Miss Regan — regan@allaboutdance.org

AAD Company

he Company program is for dancers grades 4-12 who are committed and passionate about dance. This program studies various genres of dance from ballet, tap, hip hop, jazz, modern, musical theater, acro, core-tech, and more. In our Company team, we have three tracks with different age groups in each. COMP I is our first competition team that participates in 2-3 competitions/ recitals a year and trains 3-5 hours a week. COMP II is our intermediate company that dedicates 5-7 hours a week in classes and attends 3+ competitions. Our final most competitive Company group is COMP III. These dancers train at least 13 hours a week and attend 5+ competitions around the country.  Although we have three levels of competition, each team experiences the benefits of participating on a team full of leadership, teamwork, sportsmanship, discipline, friendship, passion, and most of all – FUN! Dancers will train with an outstanding team of professional instructors, perform and compete regionally, enjoy Master Classes taught by LA/NYC’s most sought-after choreographers, and become part of an everlasting dance family! If you have any questions about the program or would like more information, contact our program director Miss Jen K. — jennifer@allaboutdance.org
