Lisa Scurlock (St. Charles, IL) is a graduate of Western Michigan
University, MI with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Dance. As a dance major,
Lisa received the Partners in Dance as well as the Exceptional Dance Major
scholarships. There she was selected to perform at the Kennedy Center in
Washington, D.C.* and had the privilege to work with George Faison as well
as Philadanco, the Philadelphia dance company. Lisa has also studied with
and/or performed works of many world-renowned choreographers, including Lou
Conte, Gus Giordano and Diane McIntyre. Gil Duldalau chose Lisa for a
private Janet Jackson audition. Other training in professional dance
experiences includes River North Chicago Dance Summer Intensive program as
well as taking master classes with the company members of the Limon Dance
Company and the Parsons Dance Company. Throughout her eighteen years of
dance training she has studied at Lou Conte and Gus Giordano in Chicago, IL,
Broadway Dance Center and Steps in New York, NY, and the Edge in Los Angeles,
CA. *Lisa recently finished a contract with Royal Caribbean Productions as a
dancer in the production shows and was a company member in RASA Dance
Chicago. She is currently a performing apprentice and dancing with Inaside
Chicago Dance under Kelly Ann Vitacca, the Artistic Director. Lisa enjoys
teaching, choreographing and performing many different styles of dance and
looks forward to her future experiences.
